Cleaning Made Easy
Posted by Nico Yan in Family, Sponsored, Technology Sunday, 29 June 2008 20:46 No Comments
My second appliance I bought from my hard earned pay is a vacuum cleaner that also functions as a blower, why? because as a vacuum it can be use by anyone at home while the blower part is mainly for my own. I clean my computer by dismantling it while cleaning every part one by one with a old used toothbrush, then I put it back again when every part is clean, the process always takes me like 12hrs max. So after having the vacuum cleaner I can clean my computer in a breeze, and also I can clean faster for my home chores and have time to surf, pay or chat over the web.
But the more I use it the more I get annoyed, its like I thought of being satisfied when I first bought it. I guess I demand more speed and power on my vacuum cleaner. Then I was like looking for better vacuum cleaners and I found Dirt Devil® AccuCharge™, a cordless vacuum cleaner that is the first to earn the Energy Star approval.

Dirt Devil’s AccuCharge not only saves you time and space it also saves you money on your electric bill, why? because it consumes less power (electricity) while delivering more power (vacuum). This comes with 2 type the Hand Vac, handheld cordless vacuum cleaner good for those simple chores, while Stick Vac is very much like your average long stick vacuum cleaners but its cordless good for those hard to reach places. If only I have money I’m pretty sure I’ll buy this one (even if it doesn’t have the blower functionality) for my savings worth and time. This will help my clean more space within a day without thinking of the electric bill or how much time I have until I stop vacuuming.
Now all I have to do is buy some new computer parts that saves energy consumption (AMD processors have like 45w something) After that I can save money from electric bill and enjoy other benefits that comes along the way.

For The Old
Here in the Philippines we take care of our elderly, but to some countries they find people or places with high assisted living facility ratings just to be sure that their elderly will be taken care of properly.
What I don’t get is that once in their life they where taken care of by those elderly people and now they won’t take responsibility, having other to that for them.
Even if you say it’s because the culture then its lame, why? because its just an excuse for not taking more responsibility. Is taking care of someone whom loved you back then that hard to give back?
I’ll take care of my parents when they grow old, and if my child ask why? I’ll say “Because they took care of me when I was also small and fragile”, so that my child will know another part of love.

Purify The Air
Posted by Nico Yan in Personal, Reviews, Technology Thursday, 26 June 2008 18:55 No Comments
I recently read an article about EcoQuest International’s Fresh Air purification product, from what I’ve read it is their product is used first on space programs of NASA. This product cleanses the air within the space shuttle from gaseous substance that is also present in the air of the ship. The substances are harmful if taken too much from what I have heard. But recently EcoQuest launch “Fresh Air” for commercial use, because of the idea that the air now is full of harmful substances especially at homes.
From space to your household, that was the company’s aim. It cleanses the air making it pure, especially those homes that have carpets, poorly ventilated fireplace, kitchen molds, dust mites etc, thus solving most health problems in households.
If I have money I’ll purchase one because the air now isn’t clean from before, air pollution is worst now. I want my children to grow healthy and this product makes the the most important element in a growing child, and that’s air.
Also if its not that hard, make a bigger one and put in into stations worldwide so that people all over will enjoy clean air once again.

Thesis: A Dreaded Subject?
Posted by Nico Yan in Personal Thursday, 26 June 2008 17:33 No Comments
I’m thinking of getting my Thesis A (Thesis Proposal) subject next trimester and I want to make a simple project management software that targets big companies like call center or any business that has manpower and resources that needs to be organized.
When I was working on a company that is US based, I plan to make a software that will manage their resources. And then make it available over the web via a special website, my boss is abroad and the only thing he knows what we do is when he calls, when our comptroller calls him, or when a client calls him. He has a laptop and I guess that he has wifi available to him, so I thought I better that he can check up on us over the web, data is better than words (or is ir data first before words).
But recently I have doubts on taking that subject because my plan for the software is on the brink of non existence, now thesis are based on robotics, no more about games. I don’t know robotics and I think this is just for engineers. Y_Y
I want to reconstruct my software plans.
I need to find out what is a valid thesis before I pass a proposal or else I’ll take this up again.

The Wild West

I watched an episode of CSI:Las Vegas about a rodeo case, funny thing is that some shots of the actually rodeo is from the NFR (National Finals Rodeo) in Las Vegas.
This makes me feel to watch an actual rodeo. When I win the lotto or have some big extra cash, I’ll go to Las Vegas, hit the casinos and then buy NFR Tickets to watch a rodeo. It will be fun to watch because it gives you the thrill and the excitement of what was the past time in the wild west.
NFR has some interesting facts and trivia;
- Sometimes referred to as the World Series of Rodeo and the Super Bowl of Rodeo.
- held each year in the first full week of December, at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Uses “special dirt, the dirt is stored on the UNLV campus for use in next NFR.
- Cowboy Christmas, a cowboy gift show, is held concurrent with the rodeo at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Being held during Christmas time means it can be considered as family event why? Because Christmas is the time of the year where family bonding is at the outmost importance.
I would really like to bring my family to Vegas and spent the vacation doing what is fun for us.
