Ragnarok Online!

Its been years since I’ve played this MMORPG and still addicted to it, but alas I can’t because of my work schedule and family life.
I started out on kRO alpha, from which you won’t understand almost anything on the screen, doing only hack and slash then pick and run. Then when I heard iRO is coming out I signed up for the beta from then on I got hooked with the game. When it went to PTP or Pay To Play, I found ways on how to make my account still active (using hacked credit cards which runs for almost 1 year). I got banned because of payment fraud.
Then I switched to a private server, the legendary Asgard Online. There I played and played not worrying about paying up because the server is finance by donations which is pouring every month. I made friends with almost all of the foreign players (Some of my friends here came and played there also). It was a great experience playing with only a handful of people with a server not lagging. The server highly maintained by Odin with also a team of graphic and web designers. It was envied by most private server at that time because we can be compared to iRO with all the features and graphics inside the game. Suddenly iRO came knocking to the server’s door, maybe some private server told iRO about aRO (Asgard Online) or because of the popularity that made aRO a prime target for iRO. They asked the owners to pull the plug or else face lawsuits. So just to be safe and with careful consideration from the players, Asgard Online just went down to the history of private servers. By the way, Asgard Online uses the same engine as kRO and iRO, ya might think it just uses some emulator (back then emulators have so many bugs to be used in public).
After that I went to RO emulators from Freya, Athena, Weiss, DarkWeiss, Fusion and finally to Prometheus. I’ve build private servers which only run for a month or so. I did the server setup up to the client side graphics. The one thing I did contribute was the DNS patch for the ragnarok executable to be use by people who has dynamic ips. It’s now use widely from aegis zone to RO emulators (Message me if you know me by just the hint). But all of this didn’t come close to the experience that AsgardOnline gave to me.
I’ve searched every player I know of and where do they play and I found out that after Asgard Online was disbanded, It divided into to small private servers but the one I went to was Sakura Heaven because most of friends are in there. I help maintain the server mostly in client graphics which made me one of the GameMasters. It went for a year until I lost my internet connection. It was fun playing and maintaining SakuraHeaven. And I really enjoy being there. Im planning to revive it when I have the time to do so.
Ragnarok is still the number MMORPG for me! (though pRO SUCKS!! *Philippine Ragnarok Online*)
