SocialSpark: Build, Advertise & Monetize

By Nico Yan On June 10, 2008 Under General

Do you a personal blog? Do you have so much spare time over the net? Want to earn while writing about things?
If your answer is YES then let me introduce to you SocialSpark, What is SocialSpark?
SocialSpark : Get Everyone Talking
It’s like Friendster and PayPerPost in one site, you get to meet fellow bloggers and also have the opportunity to earn just by blogging.
Build A Community
In Friendster you get to meet people with the same taste as you do or just friends who are near or far from you, same with SocialSpark you get to meet bloggers that has the same interest with you and can interact with them using SocialSpark. If you are a blogger who feels like there is no one with the same topic or list of topics as you and also feels like your blog topics is for you alone then with SocialSpark you will meet with bloggers whom you can talk to with a certain topic that both sides like.
Monetize Your Blog
SocialSpark is a project of the IZEA, the same people who gave you PayPerPost, as the name says you get paid while doing post on your blog. Unlike PayPerPost, who in the past relies heavily in Google’s PageRanking System. SocialSpark has its own system that measures the real rank of your site (called RealRank obviously hehehe), just install a code to your site then it will be measured to its RealRank. But most advertisers doesn’t know yet RealRank so SocialSpark still uses Alexa, Google PageRank and other stuffs, so that advertisers still have many options on opportunities they can give. I say this is fair enough.
Drive Traffic
SocialSpark, as I have mention is also an advertiser’s heaven why? Because here you get a lot of sites from which you can pay just to advertise your service or product. The more sites linking to your services or products means the higher the possibility that your product/service be known to many.
SocialSpark is like a community so it has to have some ethics running behind and those are;

100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure

This is valuing your readers trust on your blog, which means making your readers know that your post is a paid post and has no conflict of interest. A code is to be inserted to your post, the code contains visual representation to show this fact.

100% Transparency

All your opportunities are shown to fellow bloggers and advertisers, to let them know thru your taken paid post what kind of opportunities you take and likely know, for advertisers, what opportunities they make for you to take part of.

100% Real Opinions

Honesty is the best policy, you don’t need to suck up on your taken opportunity thru sweet post about it just to rack the bonus. Be honest on reviewing your taken post because it’s the credibility of your blog and yourself that is on the line. SocialSpark encourages bloggers to report advertisers who makes you do otherwise.

100% Search Engine Friendly

SocialSpark protects your website ranking by no-follow rule to each and every paid post you made. This is to ensure that Google won’t take back your site pagerank (Google is very strict on having paid links). SocialSpark encourages both bloggers and advertisers not to bypass the “no-follow” rule.
